On D4s with adblue, the spare wheel is mounted with the posh face pointing down. The wheel protector goes inside the wheel. The two little posts supplied go through the wheel and then the wheel protector, then add the rubber washers and finally fit the linchpins. Both the rubber washers and linchpins should be on the inside of the wheel.
