I had my car detailed last year. It got a glass coating and some special ointment for the plastic..
The last bit was € 75,- , dead cheap, but it was part of the € 400,- deal. Stil a 'steal' for what
I read other pay, but hey : this is the Netherlands... We don't pay much, so probably cheaper as
in the UK.. Maybe in Scotland its even cheaper..

Every year I apply boiled linseed oil, bought from B&Q c. £4.99. It isn’t a permanent solution but works beautifully for half a year.

Try as I might, I simply cannot justify the ridiculous price of the C4 stuff and you only get 15ml.
Still using the Autoglym Bumper + Trim Gel, not found anything to beat it for the money.Mods:

Best gear I’ve ever used for long term restoring of trim.
The only problem I’ve foun with the Autoglym Restorer is if it’s in an area that has water run over the trim, it can discolour that area, or it did on one of my lads Corsa, left grey stripes down his bumper after it rained.

I notice nobody has recommended Forever Black, I got some after a recommendation on this forum. Dear god that stuff is terrible. It's more like black paint than a colour restorer. I've also tried a few others from recommends on here, Black Wow is also stupidly over rated and just doesn't give consistent results.Mods:
