tappets or gasket noice

good morning to the team. in the last two days my engine has developed a strange hissing sound on the LH side. initially i though it was the tappets that made more noice than normal, then listening carefully i though i might have an exhaust leak. today i monitored closely and i dont think it is an exhaust leak, although if you listen carefully on the video it sounds like escaping air.



any recommendations on were to focus?

Finally changed the washers. Getting injectors out was a mission. Now the problem is that one injector is not working properly. Tones of white smoke and engine performance is no good.
When injectors were out soak them to diesel to clean then a bit.

Sounds like an injector is overfuelling. Check the connectors? Did you replace them in the exact order they were removed?

Yes exactly the same order. Marked the connectors also so I don’t see an issue in order.

Just dry them after soaking to diesel.

Did you remove all the old washers? thinking maybe two washers messing uo the spray pattern.

Can you connect diagnostic tool and check cyl offset as well as any codes stored. If you identify the injector you might be able to have it reconditioned.

ok fault resolved i had messed my markings and sockets were wrong. now everything resolved and back in order.
