Front brake pad warning light cable

The part is around a tenner to buy. How hard is it to fit please? Guessing only one sensor so which side of the car is it on please? Is it a simple clip in and out or is there inner wing removing to be done? Just trying to weigh up the effort and time before buying the part and doing it and paying my local Indy to do it.
Currently working my way through all the niggles on my D3. It’s next on the list.

You can undo two clips on the wheel arch liner to get room to get your hand in to change it

Did you break the tip when you changed the pads, loose the little brass contact off the end when you took the pads off or leave it in the pad? If it is the little plastic ear that has snapped when you swapped the pads, it is worth trying a bit of aryldite fast drying epoxy on the broken area to build it up and let it set, then when set file it back to the correct shape and refit it as it isnt under any stress when it is back in position

The light came on, I paid the Indy to to change the pads- he said they were barely less than half worn but changed them anyway at the same time as it had the oil and filter service. Car came back with the same check pads warning light. Two days later and before it could go back COVID lock down started back in March........I finally had enough and thought I’d do it myself as the car seems to be running well and hasn’t needed to go back to the Indy for any work this year.
Wheeled ? Which side is the wire located on please? Front left sat in the driving seat?

If he only changed the front pads and they were only half worn then maybe the rears are actually the ones that require replacement. Or vice versa

Take a wheel off the axel he didn’t change

Front left when sat in seat

Guy is generally very thorough. Good Land Rover Indy. He told me the rears were fine. I’m pretty sure it’s just the wire on the sensor. If the jobs easy enough the location of the wire will be great please?

As the man says ...

But if the pads are OK and sensors are OK the problem is inside the loom or connectors on the loom somewhere...

A quick check would be to cut the wires and join the 2 ends together. If the light goes out it's the sensor.
