I had this happen a couple of years ago. Stratstone mechanic had to chisel the knackered locknut off! Ouch Shocked

The chisel caused a bit of rebound/slip damage to the alloy around the wheelstud area. I sold that that set of wheels to a guy who wanted a set for offroad.

An option I fear isn't open for a set of 20"s. Big Cry Sorry.
regards and good luck with it.

Right my car resembles something from Mad Max one 20 inch v spoke on the rear and 19s all round otherwise. We managed to get one nut off the other remains stubborn. Suprisingly the car drives very well! Thanks Disco Wex . Have car booked in with another mechanic tommorrow so fingers crossed . Thanks to everyone for advice.

Googsy , reckon whomever was last trying to remove the nut gave the lugs a thorough wearing cos it wasn't for shifting.Probably the alloy top half of the nut has seperated and is now spinning on the lower threaded end.Perhaps you should post a pic of the first nut that came off.
Sorry we weren't successfull on the second but we gave it our best

best of luck with it later Thumbs Up

Thanks for the tip on removal Kevin Thumbs Up
