This is quite probably a very stupid question, I've had my D3 for 18 months and in all that time I've never noticed/seen any light on the dash that indictes the side/head lights are on. My question is.....is there one? and is it a bulb or a led? Thanks.

IIRC there is an indicator to show that the lights are on, from MY’07 onwards, but not on older model years.

We do have an indicator of sorts for us running old D3s:
Push the indicator stalk forward, when the lights are on (in auto mode) you get two things, a blue lights on indicator in the dash and everyone coming the other wat flashes you to say your lights are on!
Alternatively, if you have aux driving lights they have an indicator llight when they are on (at least they do the way mine are wired up!)
