You could try your 78s but the needle will probably jump a bit off road.

Saccimiddx,
I wouldn't condemn it for a "Slow Raising Knob", at my age it's quite quick!!

So.... picked up the new (to me) Disco today (61 reg rather than 12 reg as said before).
AWESOME!!!
I agree with everyone that the engine and gearbox are incredible. The cabin feels like a lovely place to sit and although some of the buttons may not be in the most convenient of places, the look of it is amazing!
Have also fitted running boards today. That is an unpleasant experience! Spending £40k+ on a car and then pulling bits off and cutting holes in them with a multi-tool on day 1!
Love the timed climate and the iPod connectivity.
In summary, love it!

A quick question - I keep flip-flopping on whether to swap my D3 for a D4. If I were to get a D4 it would be a 2010/2011 HSE. What are the major spec differences between my 05 D3 HSE and the D4, and are there any annoying cheese-paring deletions which are reasonably small but really annoying?

Worst bit for me, the removal of the long tray to the left of the gear lever, apart from that its better in every way. Joined the BMWX5 45e group
