I'm picking up a D4 on Saturday having had a D3 for 4 years and wondered what gadgets, changes and intricacies people have most appreciated and been most pleased or surprised with?

The peace & quiet inside ......
I agree the D3 isn't exactly loud but the 4 is soooo peaceful!!
I have the D3 engine & all-terrains and it's still so quiet at speed you could hear a pin drop. Nick

If your getting one of the earlier D4's then the infotainment is great.
The 6 speed box and SDV6 engine is a marked improvement over the 2.7 and better on the juice as well.
Depending on what glass you have depends on how quiet inside and getting the upgraded leather in lower models is very worthwhile.
The newer dash and centre layout is very logical and much cleaner and the seats to me felt more comfortable over the D3's.
Most importantly just enjoy the new car FFRR Owner, very nearly became a D3 owner
Test piloted a new D4 XS SDV6.. Gone and being forgotten i hope!!

Thanks all.
Surprised there was no mention of the analogue clock?!?
Getting a 12 reg HSE so I'm very excited! Pretty sure it'll be a very sleepless night tonight, might take the chance to get revenge on the kids and wake all of them up at 3am!!

I remember Jeremy Clarkson saying the V8 FFRR was the best car in the world about 3 years ago.
It might well still be, but the 2012 HSE Disco 4 is not very far behind, and that just about sums the car up
It is a joy to drive on Mways, country lanes and across boggy & rutted fields. For what I use my car for,I would not go back to a FFRR.
Quite simply superb!!

Superb engine in that
The SDV6 engine is good, but it's like sticking you foot down in a bucket of treacle by comparison. I was a normal heterosexual chap, but in these new woke awakenings I now identify as a Wardrobe.
