MY2015 Seat Belt Warning Chime
One of the 1st things I have always done with a new Discovery is to turn the seat belt warning chime off by putting the buckle in and out 9 or 10 times with the ignition on. This has always worked in the past but with my new MY2015 it fails to switch it off Has anybody else with a MY2015 tried this and has it worked?Cheers Ian

The original trick was never going to be included in the manual.

Hurrah!
Was a new trick required or did the old trick still work when applied again?Land Rover - Turning Drivers into Mechanics Since 1948

No same technique although the time it worked I did have the engine running
On the 2 previous Disco's I have managed to turn it off first time of trying, must be getting old or something
Cheers Ian

Don't forget guys, when chime is deactivated, the passenger warning does NOT work. You'll have to check if SWMBO wears her seat belt 'manually'!
You get the light on the dash - or you do on the D3 Mark.

You do get the light in the dash for the drivers seatbelt; as soon as the driver puts the seatbelt on, the light goes off even if passenger seatbelt is still off. Had to take my D4 to the dealer's for that, I first thought that mine was faulty, but it turns out that it's a system 'bug' (at least in my point of view). All dealers I visited were not aware of this, but unfortunately this is how it works. Have started a thread on that here as well, not many people had noticed it. We had to repeat the same procedure on another D4 at the dealer's, in order to prove that this is the case on all D4's. Don't know what happens on the D3.

I have never needed to turn the chime of after driving for 1min on a private road the bleeping sound goes silent anyway so why bother.
