That's actually the reason I wanted to update. But I haven't enabled that yet.
Well, you may know what they do with Jet-pilots when they crash and survive? Get them in the air asap to get over their potential fears. In other words, go for it now!RLD Sump Guard

I just got around to trying it, but it didn't seem to work properly.
I enabled the 3 flash in the CCF, but it didn't seem to take.

you may need to get the car completely go to sleep. When I configured the 4x4 display I thought I had not succeeded too. Fired up the car an hour later (and to be honest after a few beers) it was all there. No reason why it should not work. Keep faith RLD Sump Guard

What version is it?- I am having the same problem as you had, although Gap have answered my query very quickly can't say I'm over impressed with them, cars sat immobilized in the drive at the moment, they need a few beta testers like you and me to put them on the right track. I will be making a post shortly of their short comings, after all these units ain't cheap, not to me anyway. It can when others can't,

How long did it take to upload the CCF files?- mines been loading or doing something for the last hour but nothing has said it's finished, this is what I'm not impressed with, Gap seem to think you should know what's happening. Took me 2 hours to find out it will not load onto my computers without FoxPro Support Library - never heard of it and certainly never seen it in any documentation. It can when others can't,

On the flip side, I upgraded my IID Tool to the latest release to enable me to upgrade the BCM and Instrument cluster, both worked first time. 3 Flash works fine now, but I had previously tried to enable it in the CCF before upgrading the firmware on the off chance.Current - 05 D3 HSE TDV6 Ex 55 FFRR 4.2 Supercharged Ex 55 D3 HSE TDV6
So, I posted at 11:27 that I had no luck in being able to rewrite the CCF. At 11:28 I got an email from Gap telling me about a new version of the software. There were only 2 changes, one being the ability to rewrite the BCM flash in case of a failed attempt and the other was being able to correctly apply changes to the CCF
I'm sure they were looking over my shoulder as I was typing it out and hit send just as soon as I did
I went out to grab the IID Tool to reprogram it, and I had another email from Gap telling me about the change to allow the CCF to be saved correctly.
But unfortunately it was a nice day here, so I was driving my other car and couldn't test it out.
I just got in and tried to enable the 3 Flash. And it works correctly now.
Again, thanks to Gap Diagnostics for being right on top of things.

It took maybe 5 minutes from me opening the car door to testing out the 3 flash.
that included clearing any faults.

It's one of the reasons i wanted it two, but at the moment I've got a dead Disco on my drive that won't update or back date for that matter, don't know what the next move is It can when others can't,

See ubp_sanity's post at 8.22pm. Have you upgraded from beta to full version of 2.18?
I'd have another go at it after doing that. Give car a few mins to go to sleep after that. If still no joy, do a hard reset and try again?
Very keen to know you get on.

Having read around this issue (and having read the IID v2.18 user guide again), I've come to the conclusion that a suitable battery maintainer is essential before doing a module re-flash. In fact, GAP advise using one at all times when using the tool. I'm sure it's advisable for other tools as well, such as the MSV-2.
I found the Ctek MXS25, which is suitable for this and is around £180. Money well-spent I think. Cheaper than a new module etc etc. Very good charger as well, so it'll have a long-term use too.
(and no, you CAN'T just use any old battery charger)
