you can also get into Extended Mode when you're driving in a lake just fast enough to start to make the car want to float.... (cough...)

I hear that if you drive in to a lake just enough for it to go in to super-extended mode as you float, the wheels then rotate 90 degree and turn in to propellors giving you up to 6 knots....

Can anyone tell me how to get in to this mode? Whistle Laughing

Also I'm sure I've read somewhere in the manual that if you happen to drive off a cliff a pair of wings will automatically be deployed from underneath the sills but hill descent must be engaged and the hazards flashing. Rolling with laughter

True. Apparently you can programme the land rover key to do that but only on 06 HSEs with the modified jet casing.... Laughing

One thing to remember is that if you are in an off road situation and the car goes into super extended mode be very careful when you get out of the car because it's higher than you think and you may just go Censored over tit, so I've heard Whistle Laughing

I errm managed to erm beach my D3 last year Embarassed in sand on a causeway in france (Passage Du gois if anyones interested) and my disco didnt go into extended or super extended mode?? All I could get was off road height.

Any ideas what I did wrong? Going back this year (if my passport arrives) and dont want to have to get towed out by a Hilux again!! Rolling with laughter
