All modes available, I have "heard" you can force the car into "Super Extended" mode giving a little more height than off-road mode.....
Can anyone tell me how you get it into this mode....
Thanks in advance.G4OC Secretary

As I understand it you need to have the correct updated software and then you choose Super Extended as follows:
Put car in Off Road mode, press and hold down brake pedal, hold ride height switch in Off Road position for 3 secs. If it goes up, you've got the new software, if it doesn't you'll need to get the EAS updated.
Hope that helps (if I got it right that is )

Think that the car needs to be grounded out for it to do this.MY17 D5 1st Edition Namib Orange

I believe the car has to have activated the DSC/TC to enable extended modeMy D3 Build Thread

Axle stand under the chassis rail works well, lower the vehicle, it will then ground out on the stand and enter extended mode. You can then use the method Steve described to enter super extended.GAP IID Pro Multi Vehicle Defender L316 2007-2015 - Discovery 3 - Discovery 4 - Discovery Sport L550 - Freelander 2 - Range Rover Evoque L538 - Range Rover L322 - Range Rover L405 - Range Rover Sport L320 - Range Rover Sport L494 Electrical Fault Diagnostics

My D3 used to go into extended mode (and stay there) if you jacked it up at the rear .......not sure if it was meant to ....."Better to remain silent and be thought a fool, than to speak out and remove all doubt" ?.....what rubbish...

You could always buy lift rods. Move them to the off road setting. Then once in off road height you will be in super extended mode height. Not sure what would happen when grounded? Would it go into super super extended mode??With a few Mods.

That's the point when the outer CV joints fail due to the extreme angle of the driveshaft GAP IID Pro Multi Vehicle Defender L316 2007-2015 - Discovery 3 - Discovery 4 - Discovery Sport L550 - Freelander 2 - Range Rover Evoque L538 - Range Rover L322 - Range Rover L405 - Range Rover Sport L320 - Range Rover Sport L494 Electrical Fault Diagnostics

If the car is beached out on mud or sand or whatever, then the car will automatically go into extended height mode.
Once on extended height mode, foot on brake and keep the ride height switch up and it will then go into super extended mode to help you clear the obstacle.
You can fool the car into extended mode by placing something under the chassis(block of wood or similar) and dropping the ride height so that the car thinks it's grounded.Bodsys Brake Bible

Its easy, you have to take your poncy Disco to Morocco and drive it down a river bed till it sinks, keep driving, this will induce the extended mode. When this happens stop driving, hold your foot on the brake pedal and hold the 'up' button. You will then feel the car rise, once risen drive off.
Warning when in Super extended mode don't drive on full lock
