Get more cider in a D3 than a DB4, also get shaken up less

2001 BMW 325i Sport - After 3 years of ownership I can say it was a superb car with great handling, good cabin finish and excellent performance, although not quite the rocketship that my previous 260 bhp Pro-drive Subaru Impreza had been.
The disco is a different kettle of fish, and I'll take a while to get used to the new cornering and braking experience, but I love the interior flexibility and load carrying capabilty.
If it stays reliable I will feel its been a good trade.D3 Bonatti Grey TDV6

Indeed - who drinks it stirred? Easier to sit on the back of the D3 at a point-to-point, but unless LR get their PR together, it's not producing any JB007 fantasies.Time flies like an arrow; fruit flies like a banana

I sold a Monte Carlo blue 2001 Disco TD5 GS5 in Jly 2003 when I saw pictures of the new D3. Bought an A4 TDi 130 Sport & settled down to wait for the D3 to launch.
I tried everything I could to avoid buying another Disco ... I tried so hard to like the Freelander, or the Xtrail, and I even tested the X3, but nothing else came close, and inevitably I was drawn back to the L/R dealer to part with a huge heap of money....Long succession of Disco's since 2001...
SIII Lightweight - neglected & rusting. Bulkhead, A panels, vent panel & outriggers now disintegrated - Next years project!

I blew up my TD5 (Oil pump fell off) and couldn't afford the cost of the new engine, so spent a lot more money on buying the D3 (go figure).
LRCS paid for the new engine in the TD5, so I go more money in the trade in against the D3.
All in all, got the D3 18 months sooner than scheduled - but happy. Coffeecup

Already hitting the L/R dealer web sites as we type.
Question (may be a stupid one)
Why, if I sell my Jeep privatly, the warranty transfers but the used D3's only carry a one year cover regardless of age?Tetbury,

Surely they have the remainder of the three year LR warranty The End

The Warranty is with the Vehicle, at 3 years from Manufacture, not with the Owner(s). I know because I bought an Ex-Demo and made just that enquiry. Coffeecup
